Fans van SoulCalibur kunnen hun hart ophalen, want de game die door velen wordt gezien als een van de beste vechtgames ooit komt naar iOS.

SoulCalibur is een klassieke vechtgame waarbij twee personages tegenover elkaar staan en in een gevecht van meerdere rondes beslissen wie de sterkste vechter is. In de game kan je kiezen uit 19 verschillende personages, waar je in vier verschillende spelmodi mee aan de slag kan.

Deze modi zijn Arcade Battle, Time Attack, Survival en Extra Survival. Wat direct opvalt is dat er een Versus mode ontbreekt. Het is dus niet mogelijk om tegen andere spelers te spelen. Iets dat juist bij dergelijk games erg belangrijk is. De aanwezige modi werken wel erg prettig en geven je niet het idee dat je op een draagbaar apparaat speelt.

Ook bevat de game een virtueel museum waar artwork van de game te zien is. Voor de echte fans van SoulCalibur zal dit zeker wat toevoegen. Een ander punt dat opvalt aan de game is dat de prijs erg hoog is. Zeker wanneer je weet dat de originele game in 1999 uit kwam voor de Dreamcast.

Kortom
Met SoulCalibur voor iOS wordt een van de beste vechtgames ooit nieuw leven ingeblazen. De game speelt erg prettig en bevat verschillende modi. Helaas ontbreekt de mogelijkheid om samen met anderen te spelen. Daarnaast is de game relatief duur.
