Wikipedia is in de loop van de jaren uitgegroeid tot een van de grootste openbare informatievoorzieningen. In de app Wikihood is alle locatie gebaseerde informatie samengevoegd tot een gigantische reisgids.

Doordat Wikipedia over zeer veel plaatsen wel wat heeft te bieden, kan in Wikihood zelfs over de kleinste dorpjes informatie worden gevonden. Deze artikelen worden kracht bijgestaan door een handige fotoweergave. In Wikihood is het mogelijk om op bepaalde locaties te zoeken, of de app automatisch artikelen te laten zoeken bij de huidige locatie. Automatisch worden ook artikelen gezocht die dichtbij de geselecteerde locatie liggen.

Wikihood is erg prettig te gebruiken en is door de grote hoeveelheid informatie erg handig wanneer je ergens onbekend bent. De app is echter ook erg leuk om bekende plaatsen opnieuw te ontdekken.

Tegen betaling is het ook mogelijk om Wikihood offline te gebruiken door artikelen op je apparaat te installeren. Wie ook economische en geografische gegevens in Wikihood wil bekijken kan overwegen over te stappen op Wikihood plus.

Kortom
Wikihood is een digitale reisgids die zijn informatie haalt van Wikipedia. Doordat deze informatie zeer uitgebreid is, heeft de app zelfs over de kleinste dorpen wat te vertellen. Alle informatie wordt daarnaast mooi en overzichtelijk weergegeven, wat het gebruik van de app erg prettig maakt.
